CyberKnife treatment results
Following CyberKnife treatments our patients have periodic follow-up appointments for CT and/or MRI scans, or laboratory tests to track the treatment's progress. Results from the scans and tests will show if the tumors have stopped growing, have become inactive or have disappeared.

FDA approval
The Food and Drug Administration approved CyberKnife as a treatment for tumors in the head, neck and upper spine in 1999. In 2001 the FDA approved CyberKnife as a treatment for tumors anywhere in the body.
Research studies test effectiveness
Research at the Seattle CyberKnife Center is evaluating CyberKnife effectiveness in treating benign and malignant tumors of the body. Information gathered from research studies and clinical experiences throughout the world have shown very positive outcomes. Accuray, which manufactures CyberKnife, also continually seeks improvements in cancer-fighting treatment options.
